I am lucky enough to have lived in this beautiful seaside city for my entire life. Whether you’re just visiting or a resident like me, here are 9 things you can do to experience everything the Sparkling City by the Sea has to offer. Welcome to Corpus Christi, Texas!
What: The USS Lexington joined the Fifth Fleet at the battle of Pearl Harbor in 1944. According the the Japanese, Lex sunk FOUR times but returned to fight again. The “Blue Ghost” is a now a museum, and a superb place to learn a bit about the US Navy’s history. Click here to view my post on this bad boy.

What: At the Texas State Aquarium, you can feed the sting rays, watch a fantastic dolphin show, meet the alligators, and more. There’s also a fun play area for the kids, and a splash park.

How Much: $22.95 for adults, $16.95 for children, $20.95 for seniors and military, children under 2 are free. Parking is $5
What: Go karts, bumper boats, batting cages and mini-golf await you at Funtrackers!
When: Mon-Fri 4pm to 9pm, Saturday 11am-10pm and Sunday 12pm-9pm.

How Much: All rides and games use credits, and credits are roughly about $1 each but become cheaper the more you buy. For example, $5 buys 5 credits, but $100 buys 125 credits.
What: Spend an hour or two sightseeing some of Corpus Christi’s landmarks on a Segway! By appointment only!

What: The Museum of Science and History is my personal favorite museum in the city. Some of the exhibits include: paleontology, ecology, Earth sciences, and Corpus Christi’s own history. Their kids area will knock your socks right off. There’s plenty to see and learn; this will probably be your favorite if you’re anything like me! Click here to view my post on this one!

What: If you’re an art enthusiast, this should be on your to-do list if it isn’t already! I haven’t been to the art museum in several years myself, but it’s a very popular attraction in Corpus Christi. You’re not able to take pictures while inside the museum, unfortunately.
When: CLOSED MONDAY. Tues – Sat 10am-5pm, Sunday 1 pm-5 pm
How Much: Adults $8, seniors and military $6, students $4,
children under 12 free.
What: Hurricane Alley is a family water park featuring loads of twists and turns, everyone is sure to find a place they enjoy inside the park.

What: Probably the best water park brand in the nation, Schlitterbahn has recently built a brand-spankin’ new park in Corpus Christi. Probably one of the best things to do in Corpus Christi!

9. Cole Park 🏈
What: Cole Park is home to a enormous play place for the kids, gorgeous hills of green for kiting, a paved trail for
joggers, bikers and so much more. Cole Park also features a nice-sized skate park for the skateboarders and in-line skaters. You’ll see wind sailing, fishing, and you may even catch a free concert or two in Cole Park’s own amphitheater!

11. Corpus Christi Water Gardens ☔️
What: The Water Gardens is popular wedding, and photography spot. You’ll feel such fresh air, and hear the calming sounds of a waterfall when you’re near.
When: No open or closing times; but I’d avoid arriving past 10pm.
