My current lip obsession is L’Oreal Paris Infallible lip colors; these things truly do stay on all day. You’ll probably have to fight these babies off of your lips if you don’t use any oil-based makeup remover!
These are applied in a two-step process. I recommend exfoliating your lips beforehand, maybe the night before or in your morning shower. I use my DIY Lip Scrubs for this. There are affiliate links in this post; click here to read my disclosure policy!
First, you start with applying the color onto your clean, dry lips. After that dries (yes, please make sure it’s completely dry before applying the balm or it will crumble and be quite unpleasant!) apply the balm and you’re done. If you make any mistakes, wipe them away as fast as you can or else you’re pretty much stuck with it until your wash your face! You’ll find that a little goes a long long way with this product.
I’m super pale myself, and when googling swatches of these I wasn’t able to find many swatches on pale faces. Beware, all of these colors come out pretty dark on me! Well, all but one.
Never-ending Nutmeg is said to be a Lime Crime Cashmere dupe. I don’t own any Lime Crime products so I’m unable to compare the two yet. I did actually order Cashmere a couple days ago, and I’m patiently waiting for it’s arrival. I have to apply this rather lightly or I’ll end up looking very 90’s, lol.
Coral Constant – This one comes out very dark on me as well, but coral shades go great with my skin tone so I couldn’t pass this one up. It’s very pretty and not too red. I love it!
Toujour Teaberry – I usually head for teaberry-similar shades because I find they flatter my skin tone the best. This was no exception; this is definitely my favorite shade out of the 4 Infallibles I own.
Flamboyant Flamingo – I truly want to love this one, but I had to apply three coats of it just to get the color to show through on my lips. It’s the perfect “your lips but better” shade once you’re finally able to see the color. Another thing I noticed is that it kind of goes on creamy, and then dries crumbly. The formula for this one has glitter in it so I wonder if that has anything to do with it.
Overall, I’m definitely a fan. I’m in love with the L’Oreal Paris Infallible shades and I’m glad I don’t have to worry about reapplying them throughout the day. There are 24 shades total, and they’re available for around $9.99 in stores! If you’re a couponer, I’ve spotted and used a coupon or two for these! Have you tried these gems? Which color is your favorite?
