For Halloween decor, Michael’s does start stocking early and they usually do have some good stuff. Unfortunately, I haven’t seen much of a change in recent years. For the past three Halloween seasons, everything looks the same. 🙄

I mean, there are a couple new items here and there. But the overall collection stays about the same. You know what to expect, in other words. I’m not sure if this is a good thing, or a bad thing.

How Do You Feel About It?

Do you enjoy knowing what to expect? Or would you rather they change it up a bit? They do have a lot of DIY options for me to craft something completely my own, and I have! That’s something I’ll keep doing every Halloween.

The spider (above) is quite heavy! It’s got a notch on the back to hang on a wall. I may get it, eventually.

I want this Enter If You Dare sign for my bedroom, or my hallway. I’d keep it up far beyond the Halloween season, of course.

This year, I love that they have much many more plaster DIY items to choose from. I remember when they’d only carry four: a skull, a haunted house, Frankenstein’s monster and a jack o’ lantern.

If you decide to stop in and browse, make sure you download the Michael’s app in case you decide to buy something. The app gives you a 40% off coupon to use on any regular priced item! I used it on one of those clear skull jars (last photo, top shelf. Hard to see), which I pained candy pink.😍

I’ll stop in every couple of weeks and check for new items, and I’ll keep this post updated. I’m really hoping they get some good stuff in soon, so keep your fingers crossed!
