Mid-Summer Halloween Check-In

It’s nearing the end of June and I can feel my powers getting stronger the closer we approach Halloween season. At the end of this month, we should start spotting a bit of Halloween merchandise in stores. In fact, some of us did in May!

Join The Swim Reaper

Who says us spooky kids need to avoid summer activities? For swimsuits that satisfy your darker side, check out this list curated by Me and Annabel Lee. And if you haven’t found your dream suit yet, The Spooky Vegan offers you 20 more. Whether you’re attending a pool party, hosting one, or sunbathing at the beach, it’s hard to find things that suit us Halloween-hearted folks this time of year. This post will hook you up with some items you’d love to be caught dead with. Don’t forget the goth lemonade. 🍋 💀

Code Orange – Store Sightings

At Home has already started putting out Halloween items, so if you live within reasonable distance to one, it’s worth checking out. You can view what they had to offer last year in this post. Another store that is known to put Halloween stock out early is Michael’s! Start stalking Michaels in late June, early July.

Upcoming Event: Midsummer Scream

Don’t forget about Midsummer Scream, a Halloween and horror festival taking place July 28th and 29th in Long Beach, California. You can buy tickets on the event website, as well as purchase photo-opps with Cassandra Peterson (Elvira) and Kimberly J. Brown (from HalloweenTown).  When they announced the dates, I had planned to go but unfortunately a lot of things have happened since then and traveling right now isn’t in the budget for me. Heartbreaking, but I’ll catch you there another year! 💫

Miranda from Spooky Little Halloween will be there, and this is exactly why she is pumped about it! 🤩

What You Can Help Me With

Did I miss any summertime Halloween happenings? Feel free to fill me in by sending me an email, or leaving a comment. It’s been many moons since last Halloween, and I’m feeling a bit… feverish! 🐺🌕

For help with staying in your Halloween headspace throughout the year, checkout my favorite Halloween bloggers post and peruse the Samhain Society members list. I’d also recommend signing up for Miranda’s Tricks Not Treats newsletter — she’ll make every Friday feel like October 31st.

Everyday is Halloween for some of us, you see. 🎃
