I didn’t really have that many lip products compared to everything else. I have so many eye shadows, I probably will never have to buy any more for as long as I live. But there’s only a handful of lipsticks. I’ve got several Revlon Lip Butters (which I adore) and my go-to Boots No. 7 in Nude. My current girl crush is Holland Roden from MTV’s Teen Wolf. I admire her beauty, and her lipstick is always flawless.
In case you’re wondering, yes, putting on lipstick and rubbing it off over and over again is really rough on the lips! My lips were getting irritated so I had to line them with white liner (you can kind of see it, but lining with white liner really helps if you regularly wear red lipstick!). I put the titles of the lipstick as a mustache, I was giggling while I did that (ah, the little things).
Keep in mind that I’m a pale, (fake) red-headed girl with pink undertones and these shades may look a lot different on you!
Alabama was was one that I really wanted when I googled NYX Swatches. When I saw it in person I thought it was a tad dark, but decided to give it a shot anyway. This is a matte, and was a little rough to put on. I apply lipstick with a brush, it’s a lot easier that way.
Femme was my second favorite out of the bunch (most favorite being Tea Rose below), a really nice every day color. It looked too bright in the container, but I love it.
Haute Melon was is a really bright shade in the container, once again. Applied it is bright, but it looks a lot different than I expected it. Meh, I’m not sure how I really feel about this shade.
Tea Rose is similar to my go-to shade by Boots No. 7, but Tea Rose is a bit darker. This one is by far my favorite out of the bunch. It’s very flattering and its just a few shades darker than my bare lips.
Peach Bellini is my least favorite shade, unfortunately. There’s a subtle shimmer, and it’s a coral-ish pink. I don’t think it looked that good on me (maybe just super different than what I’m used to)
