The Spirit Halloween stores in my city have been really dragging their feet this year. The smaller store opened a day or so before I got these pictures; I stumbled in there before closing and was still completely overwhelmed. 🤤
A Halloween store opening at the tail end of September is kind of pushing it, considering everywhere else has had their Halloween stuff out for weeks. However, Spirit Halloween is still the anything-spooky lovers paradise and I’d wait however long it takes. I’m a slave to that giant inflatable Jack O’ Lantern. 🎃
Baby, This Is What You Came For 🎶
Animal headbands, galore! My cat ear headband that you see in my sidebar picture gets worn frequently all year long, but I definitely want to expand my collection. There are so many that I want, I can’t choose!
Side Note: I did buy the adorable deer headband seen in the Joann Fabric Halloween post.
Space Jam has been a fave since the 90’s, and I totally want to pick up this costume to wear as a pajama set! As happy as I am to see that it’s trending, I hope the youngsters invest their time and watch the actual movie. It’s a masterpiece and one of my childhood obsessions!
Out of all the masks in Spirit Halloween, this was one of the ugliest ones. Not because I’m dissing on Trump. He’s just a regular humanoid after all… but they made this one extra hideous. Note the slits for eyes! Ugh.
The Hocus Pocus Loot!
Long before the stores opened, there was a buzz online about Hocus Pocus merchandise hitting Spirit Halloween! This was pretty genius and it left me wondering why it wasn’t done before… or was it? Admittedly, my memory is terrible and it’s only getting worse because of my migraine medication. 🤦🏼♀️
Once news of this broke, I was all about it! The witch hunt began, this is what I found:
The Usual Truckload of Nightmare Before Christmas Things
You can always count on Spirit to supply you with your Nightmare Before Christmas fix. We typically don’t have a problem finding Jack and Sally items between Halloween and Christmas, anyway.
I’m looking for a Camp Crystal Lake sign, but I may need this Zombie Cat sign too.
The Little Things By The Cashier
Does anybody else enjoy looking at the little things usually found at the front of the stores? They put their most interesting things there on purpose to reel you in. And you know what? It freakin’ works.
I especially look forward to Spirit’s Junk At The Front.
And I’m Not Done Yet!
As I said, I was completely overwhelmed on this particular night. This was the smaller store and the bigger one has yet to be explored. That’s the store that has the epic electronic decorations and, possibly, even more headbands. Needless to say, the second Spirit Halloween deserves it’s very own post.
Stay posted for when that one is, um, posted. 😎
